Aston Villa's Winning Streak Snapped by Brighton
First Half Ends Scoreless
Brighton and Villa Play to a Draw
Aston Villa's four-match unbeaten run in the Premier League came to an end on Sunday afternoon as they drew 0-0 with Brighton and Hove Albion at Villa Park.
The first half was a cagey affair, with neither side able to create any clear-cut chances. Villa came close to grabbing a goal in the second half, but they were denied by a fine save from Brighton goalkeeper Robert Sanchez. Brighton had a chance to win the game late on, but they spurned a golden opportunity to break the visitors' resistance.
The draw leaves Aston Villa in 10th place in the Premier League table, while Brighton moves up to 12th.
